White Project (summer 2024)
During my guest Semester at Modeklasse I wanted to explore my relationship to the concept of marriage.
Interviewing my grandmother, she revealed that her own wedding ring eroded after years because of her working with bare hands on the pigs farm she and her husband owned.
Inspired by this image, a gold ring eroding through human labor, I created a look that can be transformed aswell. By pulling onto the garments strings, the dress changes its shape. Still tying into the theme of marriage and combining it with the concept of a sleeping gown as a clothing for leisure and relaxation, the look for the White Project emerged.
Executed during my guest-semester at the Fashion Class of the University of Applied Arts in Vienna under the supervision of Craig Green.
