- A DESIGNERS TOOLBOX FOR REVOLUTION
shows different methods in the working process of designers under the umbrella of the tool, which are questioned and placed in new contexts. A playful exhibition architecture - made entirely of second-hand cardboard - invites you to immerse yourself in the toolbox of designers, for discussion and interaction. The contribution of the temporary collective originating at the University of Applied Arts Vienna discusses a new definition of design, which, in all its honesty, not only presents itself as a mockup, but also actively opposes the solution-oriented, academic notion of design.
The project was developed as part of the course Design Theory by Harald Gründl. Together with students from different departments of the University of Applied Arts, an independent form of discourse was developed. The results will now be presented for the first time as part of VIENNA DESIGN WEEK.
The Design Revolution Now Collective consists of Elisabeth Utz, Johannes Maximilian Mayer, Laura Frühmesser, Lena Reutenauer, Lilian Marie Furrer, Mia Tešić, Nadine Weber, Stefan Schönauer, Tim Ficht and Tobias Kauer
